Boxers

Have you ever wondered how to create a happy, well-designed, yet functional area for your furry family members? Well this is the blog for you! Below are some quick and easy DIY tips and tricks to make for a pawesome puppy area. Let's take on one room at a time and shift our pups area from basic to statement!

Leash Hooks and Prints

DIY Projects: When creating a space designated for your pups, have you ever struggled with excess toys, leashes, collars and food lying around with no place to go? This DIY leash rack is a great tip to create a designated place for leashes and collars to be hung. These hooks will prevent floor clutter and promote a cleaner, easy to upkeep area, all while making the dog area appear much neater! An additional cute and trendy DIY doggy statement are the pawesome paintings hung above the hook hanger. These prints are easy to make and will last forever, helping to create long lasting memories with your pups! Just buy a stamp pad and print paper, then press your dogs paws to see the cutest, personalized puppy prints. Next, choose frames from a local craft store to

complete the modernized puppy paw print look.

Organization in Dog Room

Organization: The next great tip for promoting a clean dog area are storage containers and drawers. Drawers are a great addition for dog and cat areas, working as a place to store toys, potty bags, and vitamins for our furry friends. When owning multiple dogs, keeping track of toys and clutter can be overwhelming. Adding storage in a dog area is a great way to keep the area clean, and classy by having a designated place to put items. The second great tip for cleanliness in a dog area, is a dog food storage container. Having an enclosed container for dog food instead of an open bag, prevents bugs... and our dogs from discovering where the food is kept.

Monogrammed Dog Bowls

Customizations: Why do humans have monogrammed cups but not dogs? Let's change this! Custom dog bowls are a great way to differentiate which bowl is assigned to which dog for pet owners with multiple pups! Multi-colored bowls are also a great way to differentiate water bowls from food bowls. Customizing dog bowls with your furry friends name is such a creative way to enhance a dog area and bring so much more character through these statement pieces. Custom dog bowls are easy to order off of so many websites such as YETI, and chewy, as well as monogrammed food mats.

The last DIY design to make for a pawesome dog area, are personalizations! Dog owners typically have a favorite dog breed, we know we all do here at Alkemis! When designing a designated area for ones dogs, take this fact into consideration. If your favorite dog breed is a Boxer (like Marné's), or a Golden Retriever (like mine), adding personalized signs and decorations will enhance the area and make for a much more personal place. Fun pictures of a dog breed such as the ones shown, as well as pictures personally taken of ones dogs, display more than just a dog but a favored breed. Overall, personalized pictures tell a story and give insight of ones family, triggering a sentimental sense of emotion when entering the room.

Now What?: All of these DIY tips and tricks will help shift a room from basic to statement. Instead of walking into a dog area in ones home and quickly turning around because of a wet dog smell, toys and collars everywhere, as well as bland designs, quickly transform a dog area into the most organized, clean, classy, and personalized space in your home. When implementing the designs shown above, a dog area can be turned from a pawful room, into the most pawesome room in ones home.
